Zhenyidao (Way of True Righteousness) is an ultra-conservative and new age religious movement born in Kunlun. It centers around the spiritual nature of employing qigong practices with borrowed elements from that of older Serican faiths and Nirvanism. Having seen some degree of exposure to Plateian-born Serican populations, it is considered a religion of “negative connotation” within the Union State as a result of its origin from secessionist Kunlun.

At the core of Zhenyidao cosmology is the belief that the modern era has become inherently corrupted, requiring strict internal purification through highly demanding qigong rituals. Unlike mainstream Nirvanism, which often preaches a more passive detachment to achieve spiritual liberation, Zhenyidao teaches the method of “active realignment” of qi through said rituals.

Public practice within Plateian Serican populations is heavily scrutinized, and underground congregations frequently face crackdowns by Union security forces. This persistent suppression, however, only reinforces the adherents' persecution complex, cementing their belief that they are martyrs holding the line against a politically (and spiritually) compromised force.
